[J1.045] Brownian Motors with Inertia at Low Temperatures

A new numerical solution method is developed to study the full Langevin equation of a Brownian motor without neglecting its inertia. Employing the negative friction technique, numerical simulations become feasible for ratchets at temperatures much lower than the activation barrier. Results for tilting ratchets and temperature ratchets will be presented.
