Session T3 - Hadronic Physics.
INVITED session, Tuesday morning, April 08
Commonwealth A, Loews Philadelphia Hotel
Recent findings from computer simulations of quarks and gluons in lattice QCD are summarized, with particular emphasis on investigations of new forms of matter in which the gluon fields are excited. Gluonic excitations of both mesonic and baryonic systems are discussed. Profiles of the binding gluon field for static quark-antiquark and static three-quark systems are presented, and flux-tube (string) formation is scrutinized. The spectrum of bound states of gluons (glueballs) is also detailed.
