Session Q10 - HTSC: THEORY OF OBSERVATION OF ORDER PRAMETER SYMETRY
Mixed session, Friday morning, March 24, 8:00
Ballroom A4, San Jose Convention Center
We find a superconducting order parameter for a model of a doped Mott insulator which leads to a topological (anyon) mechanism of superconductivity. We calculate Josephson effect for a contact between topological and conventional s-wave superconductor and predict a phase shift of \pi for the corner-SQUID-junction experiment, same as for tunneling from a d-wave to s-wave superconductor. The tunneling amplitude and superconducting order parameter does not belong to any known representation of the crystal symmetry group. The tunneling amplitude of topological superconductors is not directly related to the gap in the spectrum of one particle excitations. Therefore the d-wave like Josephson effect does not imply gapless excitations.
