[CB.10] Nature of Variabilty Discovered for Star, HD191706

Edward Burke, Barry Etter (King College)

The star, 191706, was reported to be variable by Veto,Schoneich, and Rustmov(Veto, Schoneich, and Rustamov(1980):Astron.Nachr.301,317) in 1980, and was rejected as a comparison star by them. We observed it with UBV Photometer in June 1992, and May and June 1993. We found it to be and eclipsing binary star with probable period, 1.036500 d. The depth of primary minimum is about 0.1 magnitude in V light, and primary appears to be total. We could not eliminate a period of twice that length, or 2.072250 d.
